For the 2025 Spalding University Giving Day, the Ed.D.: Leadership Program highlights the generous spirit and service of one of our alums. We are in the process of developing a scholarship for Ed.D. students in honor of the late Perry Sangalli, Ed.D. '98 alum. Dr. Sangalli served Spalding University as a long-time adjunct in the Ed.D. program as well as on the Board of Trustees for Spalding University. He posthumously received the Caritas Award, the highest honor bestowed on an alum of Spalding University in 2020. Dr. Sangalli was a dedicated leader in Catholic education serving as a life-long secondary educator, Principal, and President in Catholic education in the Archdiocese of Louisville. His meticulous attention to detail and deep desire for advocacy, education, and service was also instilled in the countless Spalding Ed.D. students he devoted his time as a chair throughout their dissertation work. The development of this scholarship hopes to continue to honor his legacy for future generations of Ed.D. students, social scientists, and future leaders in Spalding University’s Ed.D.: Leadership Program.
