Jefferson County Public Schools and Spalding University are accepting nominations for the 2025-26 Aspiring Leaders cohort. This program prepares JCPS teacher leaders interested in pursuing Kentucky Principal Certification through a Master of Education in Instructional Leadership (Rank II) or Rank I program. This unique program features EPSB-approved, Spalding University coursework delivered through the lens of JCPS' three pillars and six academic systems. The ultimate goal of the program is to prepare candidates for the opportunities and challenges of equity-centered leadership in Jefferson County Public Schools.
We are looking for candidates who have demonstrated leadership ability and would benefit from a focused and intensive year-long academic program. Candidates must be a certified teacher, have at least three (3) years of teaching experience, and have demonstrated leadership ability. Program Admission and Program Dates can be found here.
