Transfer students from other nursing programs are accepted on a case-by-case evaluation by the BSN faculty. Students with only one (1) withdrawal or failure in a nursing course may be considered. Students dismissed from another nursing program or ineligible for re-admission to an academic program in which they were previously enrolled are not eligible for admission to the Spalding School of Nursing for a period of five (5) years.
Have you been convicted of a misdemeanor or felony? Failure to report a conviction may jeopardize a student's career by resulting in 1) dismissal from the nursing program and/or 2) dismissal from the practice of nursing by denial or loss of licensure by the Kentucky Board of Nursing. For information about criminal convictions and see the Kentucky Board of Nursing's policies published on their website.
If yes, you will need to contact the Kentucky Board of Nursing prior to submitting your application.
Explanation of conviction You must provide a letter of explanation. Please submit your explanation here. The Committee may also require court documents for any "Yes." Clinical agencies require background checks prior to students participating in clinical experiences; should a clinical agency deny access to their site due to criminal background, this may result in dismissal from the program.
