Transfer students from other nursing programs are accepted on a case-by-case evaluation. Students with only one (1) withdrawal or failure in a nursing course may be considered. Students dismissed from another nursing program or ineligible for re-admission to an academic program in which they were previously enrolled are not eligible for admission to the Spalding School of Nursing for a period of three (3) years.

Applicants are responsible for disclosing criminal convictions during the admission process and are required to complete a criminal background check prior to course enrollment. A criminal conviction does not automatically determine eligibility for admission, clinical placement, or nursing licensure. These determinations may depend on the nature and circumstances of the offense, applicable institutional and clinical agency requirements, and the requirements of the nursing licensing jurisdiction in which the graduate seeks licensure.
